  Silverback Cipher

Silverback hunters should be familiar with the “pigpen” or masonic cipher, which is a simple substitution cipher exchanging letters for symbols based on a grid.

This cipher can be used to decrypt directions and secret codewords at FBZ geocaches!

POTAM Devil's Tower Tracking Bug Image
Current GOAL:
Operatives can discover this intelligence (codename DEVIL'S TOWER) as part of the final classified Operation Silverback mission.

Its discovery is worth 60 points towards an operative's rank on this Web site!

About this item:
Its true whereabouts are unknown, but most suspect this TOP SECRET project coin is maintained in an undisclosed location in the mountains of Southern California.

Devils Tower is a monolithic igneous intrusion, which is the core of a volcano exposed from erosion. It is located in the Black Hills in Crook County, northeastern Wyoming, above the Belle Fourche River. It rises dramatically 1,267 feet above the surrounding terrain and the summit is 5,112 feet above sea level.

SGTF believes this impressive formation could be a potential landing pad for an upcoming A.P.E. close encounter fashioned of the "fifth," "sixth" or "seventh" kind. We have obtained a low-grade video still taken in 1977 of what we believe is a classified U.S. government base which existed near the bottom of the Devil's Tower. Mysteriously, if you visit this area today you will see NO trace of this facility-- at least on the terrestrial surface. It is as if the base never existed.
